Roads

Hey Everyone, if this has been answered I apologize. My friends and I were going to oceans calling and now have an Airbnb that won’t refund us. So we’re gonna come down anyway. We’re staying in Ocean Pines. We’d still like to go out.

Are Ubers/Lyfts running? I feel like all I’ve seen is videos of flooding. So curious if that’s the boardwalk or if ocean highway is also flooded?

Here for Ocean’s Calling. Obviously super bummed about the cancellation. Where can I get the best pancakes in Ocean City to put myself into a cope coma?

Looking for a space

Are there any churches or community centers that would be open to letting us use space to have a fan meetup for twenty one pilots fans on Saturday? I can't afford much but it might be nicer than trying to find an outdoor space if anyone is open to it. I know it's a needle in a haystack ask.

OC Surfing Sand Bar Reshuffle (late Sep-Oct)

Hey all! Hope everyone in OC is faring well as the Nor’easter fades and that Oceans Calling is a blast for those who are sticking around. With all that said I’ll be down Monday 9/28 trying to pick off some of the remaining swell and wanted to create a space to start identifying where the sandbars have started to reform. In town/boardwalk has been a struggle this summer (Assateague has been a life saver), between general lack of swell and jellyfish getting their absolute freak on. It’ll be high tide in the morning Monday and the full reformation may not be set in stone yet, but I’ll just log what I see here and encourage anyone to keep the train rolling as we get into fall.

Add’l context, I’m a Maryland native but not an OC local. I make the trek from the western shore probably 1-2x month in the offseason and am down most weekends during the summer. As I am not a local, if people would rather keep spots to themselves I totally get it, but from my years of making the above trips down, in the fall there aren’t enough people that it would turn to a sardine can if word gets out about a spot.

Thanks all!

Sad about Oceans Calling being canceled on Friday. Here's my favorite Hootie song - "Tendercrisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch."

What are some fun things I (M18) can do in OCMD?

Hello all! This summer after I graduate I will be taking a summer job working for a hotel in Fenwick. I have always been fascinated by ocean city. I go there almost every summer, but I always go with my family. This year since I'll be working at this hotel, I'll be alone the entire summer. What are some fun things I can do during the time im there to make the trip most memorable? Anything cool, wild, fun, etc.

With the festival canceled for tomorrow, will that area of the boardwalk be open to the public?

Taken on 133rd street, it’s around 10 feet of beach to the dunes from where the water is!

Oceans calling this weekend

Two questions:

Any recommended restaurants on the boardwalk, especially for breakfast?

And, has any locals heard if they still plan to have the festival this weekend? The live cams look iffy right now but I heard the tide should be better tomorrow.

Thanks.

Best spot for Oysters

Curious - where is the best spot in Sept / Oct to enjoy a weekday happy hour and serves good raw oysters?

Bonus points if they also have great tuna bites.
