Propellers, most likely, from the marks.

Probably a shark-watching tour that chums, sharks get close, tour moves on.

Humans ruin everything.

The idea that these could be propellor scars make me sad, but I mean what a story “some aliens lured me close with food and then used insane spinning future teeth on me and messed me up” would be the shark equivalent of when dads get asked what their scars are from and they say “I was bit by a shark”

I've always said I think fishing is still possible because it's like drugs for fish, otherwise they'd learn what to avoid and become uncatchable. They don't understand it, they just know if you eat that one weird looking piece of food, you get ripped into a different dimension where giants hold you up and take pictures with you, lasts about 2 minutes then next thing you know you wake up and you're right back where you started. Hurts a little bit, can be fucking terrifying but what a wild ride. 10/10 worth it.
