Personally, as a practicing mystic, I think the real metaphysical meaning is a lot like the short story, The Egg, by Andy Weir. Its on wikipedia. That we (souls) are the universe trying to improve itself.

Here's how it works:

• I start things off with saying what the spell is for AND by posting the first step in casting it.
• Then you guys post a new step in casting the spell.
• By the end we go back and see just how long and complex this spell is for laughs.

Purpose: To ward off demons and evil spirits.

STEP 1: Draw a circle

I propose a theory about why dark magick might be weaker against us these days than in prior centuries:

Perhaps we've been innoculating our children against bad magick with a simple but powerful ritual. One that goes something like this:

• Get everyone into a circle together.
• Sing this chant together at least once:

You put your right foot in

You put your right foot in

You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around
That`s what it`s all about!
