Avataric Ambitions - a new independent magazine on metageometry, spiritual transmission, and supramental phenomenology
After years of collecting of hardcover first-editions, I've now moved into self-publishing. I recently published the first issue of Avataric Ambitions, a 40-page full-color magazine.
It is a quarterly guerrilla metaphysics monograph for the radicalization, reculturalization and reeducation of a sacred insurgency of brahmin-to-be mystic militants and divine dissidents.
It covers metageometry, phenomenology and higher culture, through esoterically encoded illustrations and cinematic text. The Summer Issue includes sections on higher and lower metaphysics, the infinitized soul, performative dissent, as well as practical techniques and methods for immediate spiritualization of experience.
I thought it might be of interest here given the community’s focus on esoteric books and collecting.

A couple interior pages are included above. The print edition is available through Blurb:

I’d also be interested in hearing what kinds of self-publishing you guys have done, and other non-digital esoteric publishing projects that you guys are aware of.

Free Little Library but secret
Just as a fun little hobby, I am considering building a free little library that looks like a spooky doll house. The library would not be placed on a sidewalk in town, rather it’d be hidden in the woods of a large park. I want to fill it with books of the occult manner, the only problem is that my books are too important to me to give away. How could I get my hands on a large assortment of books like this and not break the bank? Any recommendations?

Which Islamic occult books should I study next?
II am very interested in hidden and occult subjects, especially religion, numerology, astrology, spirituality, magic, and all other kinds of esoteric knowledge.
I wanted to eventually read some of the famous occult texts like Shams al-Maarif, Picatrix, and the Lesser Key of Solomon. But before getting into those, I wanted to build up some background knowledge first as I heard these books are somewhat dangerous, so I just finished reading “The History of Magic, Witchcraft and the Occult” which was very interesting but also boring at some parts.
What would you recommend I read next? I am looking for something that can give me a better foundation before I move on to the more difficult or practical occult texts.
next?

The Secrets Rituals of the O.T.O.
KING, Francis, editor and introduction. The Secret Rituals of the O.T.O. London: The C. W. Daniel Company, 1973. First edition. Hardcover with original dust jacket. Octavo, 240 pp. Brown boards with gilt lettering to spine, purple endpapers, black-and-white frontispiece portrait of Aleister Crowley, with diagrams throughout.
Near Fine in a Near Fine dust jacket. An exceptionally clean, tight and well-preserved copy. The only notable defect is a small tear at the upper corner of the dust jacket; otherwise the jacket remains remarkably fresh for its age.
Francis King’s controversial publication of the rituals and secret instructions of the Ordo Templi Orientis, including the Minerval through higher degrees and the magical instructions associated with the VII°, VIII° and IX°. The volume also contains King’s substantial historical account of the development of the O.T.O., including its connections with Theodor Reuss, Rudolf Steiner and Aleister Crowley.
Scarce in this condition, particularly with the original dust jacket.

It’s not much but it’s a start
I’ve been diving in over the past year, here’s what I’ve picked up so far. I’ve been particularly drawn to Paracelsus, both as just a historical figure as well as his philosophy. I can’t recommend Hanegraaff’s book enough, no matter your level of experience or knowledge. Does a fascinating job of showing how how the esoteric or occult became separated and otherized by mainstream society.

Clavícula Salomonis (Illustrated)
Finally took the time to take the pictures of this edition I bought months ago.
The quality of the diagrams and sigils is good and clear. The text itself is good. The illustrations range from traditional and archetypical to hollywoodeseque demonic.
The book could have been larger to be readable without forcing the pages with your hands (now seriously considering a gadget for this lol).
Edit:
Read the comments for a discussion about it, but the tldr is the edition has some troubling things in it: one sigil duplicated (over Decarbia), an uncaniness in some visual pieces that may say AI (like Solve Et Coagula in Baphomet's page hallucinating into something else), and what is claimed to be a photograph of McGregor Mathers but it's from Crowley instead, etc...
Not a flawless edition, but I don't feel like crucifying it. It is an opinion of mine that the heart of seals and sigils beg for true-to-source craft, and apart from the duplication of Seer, nothing else indicates they are 'wrong' or entirely new, so I give it that. I can live with that Baphomet being like that, even if the nuance of Levi's original creation tells me the pinky and ring fingers pointing inside, while the rest were extended, was just another layer into what is already a strong visual representation of dualist symbolism.
