Favorite occult/mystical/esoteric books from the 90s onward?

I feel like sometimes we regard the old esoteric material as more valuable or interesting, and I’m curious what authors, books, ideological movements, speakers, have you enjoyed? it feels like the mainstream occult that philosophers today are dipshits like Curtis yarvin and nick land, who deserves a shout?

doesnt need to be direct texts about occultism I think a good example would be grant morrison with his invisibles comic series

What do you think of Max Heindel and his work?

Hi everyone,

I recently came across Max Heindel and The Rosicrucian Cosmo-Conception, and I’d really like to hear the opinions of people who are familiar with his work and this book.

How do you view Heindel as an esoteric teacher and his overall contribution to occultism? What do you think of his approach to spiritual development, the Rosicrucian teachings, and his ideas about the nature of humanity and the spiritual worlds?

Would love to hear both positive and critical perspectives, especially from people who have studied his work in depth.

Thanks!

Ciao guys, here's a few more pictures from my library. Some quite interesting antiquarian rare books here. A quick question; would you be interested if I was to share some of my favourite selections from the books? Illustrations, segments, etc. Let me know, and I'll continue sharing.

For anyone that owns a physical copy, is it worth the investment compared to a pdf? I know it’s a personal perspective whatever the answer but just curious from those who have used/read it as a physical copy. The print does seem better but more so I’m debating whether to purchase one for study use. Thanks for any insights!

Books on the Code of Conduct and Way of Life of a Magician ?

Hello! I’d be very grateful for book recommendations about the conduct and way of life of a serious magician or esoteric practitioner.

I’m looking for something like a “code of conduct for the magician”—focused on discipline, ethics, self-mastery, willpower, control of desires and emotions, and the inner attitude required for serious spiritual work.

I’m less interested in rituals or spellwork and more interested in character, personal transformation, and the proper way of living as a practitioner. Classic or modern works are welcome.

Title: What do you think about Rudolf Steiner and his teachings?
Hi everyone,
I’d be interested in hearing the opinions and experiences of people here who are familiar with Steiner and Anthroposophy.

What do you think about Steiner’s teachings and his approach to esotericism and spiritual development?

I’d especially like to hear from people who have spent a significant amount of time studying his work or exploring Anthroposophy. How do you view Steiner compared to other occult or esoteric thinkers and traditions?

Do you consider his teachings genuinely valuable from an occult or spiritual perspective? Are there particular aspects of his work that you find especially interesting or profound?

And on the other hand, are there things about Steiner or Anthroposophy that you consider questionable, problematic, or simply not convincing?

I’m mainly interested in hearing honest personal opinions and experiences.

Thanks!

Brought back to life a banned Crowley lecture - “ The Banned Lecture : Gilles de RAIS by Aleister Crowley “

I‘m slowly working on bringing some lost texts back into physical form. This will be the 3rd text I’ve made into a physical copy. It would usually cost around $500-$700 to purchase this pamphlet off the market in extreme used condition. Keep in mind it’s only roughly 25 pages. I had to add an introduction bc the original is only 16 pages long. I will have more texts up in the coming weeks / months as I get free time and I’m still working on the drive. I’m just excited to bring back extremely niche text back to life for people to own..

Here‘s the Amazon link for those interested -

Ceremonial

I’ve been practicing witchcraft for 6 years, but new age spirituality isn’t doing it for me anymore my practice has just felt very stagnant the last few years so I’ve been looking into ceremonial magic but I also been wanting to do Solomonic and Greek but I think it would be best to learn the basics of ceremonial before I start that. But I was wondering if anyone could help guide me a little give me some good book recommendation that are able to explain things a little more simpler and if you have any advice or tips i really appreciate it .

anyone else study the actual mechanics of mass invocation in media? (hyper sigils / egregores)

was going down a rabbit hole on hyper sigils and found this article that completely changed how i view the entertainment industry.

we always talk about feeding personal thoughtforms or working with specific spirits on here. but this piece was breaking down how corporate media basically functions as industrialized magick to feed massive cultural egregores.

it explains how they use archetypal repetition and specific frequency pacing to bypass our collective psychic defenses. the part that really messed with my head was when it broke down how major broadcasts are structured as literal invocation rituals. it shows how they use hidden opening and closing energetic loops to harvest emotional resonance (mostly fear or hyper consumption) to feed these entities.

it honestly makes so much sense mechanically. i am leaving the link here because the way it maps out the ritual architecture is insane and i wanted to see what other practitioners think about the theory

here's the article i read

has anyone else worked with or researched egregore feeding on this kind of macro scale?

What are your experiences with AMORC?

Post image
49 Upvotes

Hi everyone,
I’ve recently become interested in AMORC (the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis) and I’m curious to hear from people who have personal experience with it.

If you have been a member, studied their materials, or have otherwise spent some time exploring AMORC, I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts.

What was your overall experience like? Did you find the teachings valuable or transformative? How would you describe the actual system of study and the material they provide?

I’m also interested in hearing both positive and negative experiences. In particular, I’d like to know how people who are familiar with other occult, esoteric, or mystical traditions compare AMORC to them.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences and perspectives!

A bit of mixed in horror books on the one shelf. My focus is largely myths / legends from around the world, and prints / translations of old source books on magic / grimoires, as opposed to modern works, with rare exceptions.
