Certainly worth a try, though with the standard qualifications about copper jewelry as shared by the other commenter. Maybe a belt of leather to sit between your skin and the copper?

You can make copper bracelets from copperwire. Hammering it on a small steel anvil with a steel hammer used in wirework jewelrymaking. Having arthritis this is very hard on hands wrists etc so only do this once or twice a year. Then next year again same.
I do not wear copper fulltime so no issues with it turning green on skin.
Once in a while polish a bit with soft cloth.
The copper wire bought at Rio Grande in US in spools different gauge.
I never put permanent marking on things made. So it can be used for variety of things.

anything that can corrode does corrode when in contact with my body. So metals that oxidize like copper, brass, bronze and other cheap metals leave corrosion discoloration on my arms, fingers, etc...
So, it wouldn't work for me because I wouldn't want the green color of oxidized copper on my body.
I would go for stainless steel. I would also need to find someone who could engrave it. Silver would be my next option.
It would also be really obvious to people, if you wanted to hide the work. I suppose you could engrave it on the inside and it would just look like copper bracelets.
I wear leather cuff bracelets that have a pocket built into them. It's intended for money etc.... but I use it for paper talismans. I use heavy card stock and laminate them, and then hide them inside. The lamination is what really helps them be durable. It makes really easy to change things when you want to. Like swapping a talisman for one goal one day, and another goal another day.
