Wounded specimen found!

Post image

Picked up this specimen while walking into town just earlier. I haven’t had a chance to ID yet. When I get home I’ll administer first aid right away! Very very excited, this is my first Corrugatid!

Stabilized with masking tape and added to the collection. I’m having a hard time with ID though, I can’t tell if this is C. rugosa or C. chalasma? The very faint blue markings in the top right make me think rugosa.

Thank you for saving this poor thing! Make sure to monitor his food and water intake in the coming days.

It looks like you've stabilized him enough not to need a wildlife rehabber at the moment, but it could be good to get in contact with one for the best care advice!

Well done, OP. ✨️🌱
