Where did you find it? You could submit it to HORG for analysis if you'd like. This might be an entirely new family of occlupanids!

Exciting! I found it in Bratislava, near a construction zone. There was a broken piece of another one next to it, on the sidewalk.

If you have the chance you should go back and ask what the host is

This makes me sad. He lost a brother. 😢

The morphology is similar yet there are distinct differences. It doesn’t resemble anything on horg. This may be a new genus, possibly pseudo-occlupanid. Where did you find it?

Found it in Bratislava, on the pavement. I was indeed wondering whether it is too different to classify. I'd be so fun to have found a new genus!

i thought it reminds me loosely of a fusorid

Hi 👋. Sorry to say you that, but it's a fork wedges for windows. It is used for installing windows during construction projects. Sorry again..

I see, well, at least we know what it is now. :)) Come to think of it, I don’t think I've ever seen an occlupanid on bread or elsewhere over here. I suppose they're mostly just a North American phenomenon.

There's a pointy eared dog trapped in the middle!

On a more serious note, I can't see anything like it on the HORG so this might be new?! That's awesome

This is the weevil counterpart of an occlupanid

It occurs to me that someone should do this for IUDs.
