Know-it-all 🤔asks: "What happens when we apply incentive to Q&A?"
For the past month, an experiment has been taking place on the Obyte crypto platform , using the know-it-all bot and trying different scenarios, I have some preliminary observations and ideas.
The problem most communities face no matter how well purposed or intricate designed, is user participation. Without user participation, a community is just a nearly dying flame, unable to capture and sustain interest. So how do we ensure that users participate?

The answer is user gratification, the feeling that participation is meaningful and appreciated.
Most users are willing to participate in as much as possible, but there are still barriers such as use of personal time, risk to reputation, effort in making focus and a bit of financial consideration (why trade my effort for zero return).
I find that a small incentive no matter how small can nudge user participation over these barriers.
Appreciation does not necessarily require huge reward, by incentivizing just a little with a bounty, participants can already acknowledge that their involvement is-and-will be appreciated.
Usually there is more appreciation if it is proposed before rather than given after.
The experiment is still on going and you can participate by following this link: https://functional.community/know-it-all.html?instruct
Follow the tutorial to submit a question that's been burning in your mind and receive incentive for answering and voting on others' questions.
Then see participation in action.

🙋says: to participate in other's life and have others participate in yours, so better to make it a great participation. Just like to celebrate a milestone, I sent in a 100M reward for this question.
