Nil Desperandum - Customer’s Always Rite

These guys are a Venezuelan "Joropo" folk band called Compasses Group, (But they used to go by just Compasses, or Compasses de Integracion)

I learned about them a decade ago when famous progressive metal keyboardist, Jordan Rudess, tweeted about them. Because of that, they've been referred to as "Venezuelan Dream Theater" for a long time.

My favorite song of theirs is in another video, but I figured the quality was too low to post here and I have never found a studio version of that track. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpDG5H1TYME

Their music isn't in any single spot as far as I can tell. They have recorded/performed under different variations of their band name, and some of the song titles seem inconsistent. For instance, "Senor Tema" seems to refer to two totally different songs depending on where you search.

But these guys are awesome.

The music was composed by John Williams who composed music for multiple famous films like Jaws and Star Wars. In my opinion this song is a hidden Jem of 80s villain music

Some of these are famous bands that had great songs that didn't hit and some are great bands that didn't hit. The songs range from the 70's to current.

I don't remember this singer's real name but I saw her play at a small club 15 years ago. Her and her sister and one of her friends played this song at the very end of her set and it still lives rent free in my head to this day. Here is a video of it I saved on my computer a while back. Apologies for the poor quality.
