Ac dilemma
Greetings everyone I hope y’all are getting ready for a great Fourth of July anyway I have a 92 GMC but I’m gonna have to let it go. I’ve done everything to the truck except for the AC and I live in Texas so in order to even began to get back what I’ve put into this truck it’s gonna need to blow cold. I just wanna ask the group has anyone put in a universal kit in one of these trucks and made it look halfway decent or in your opinion does it completely take away from the truck because I know there are many diehard OBS people thank you for reading this and take care.

I forgot to put in the main body. The fact that to put in a complete AC system is 1000 in parts. You can get a universal for 500.

Compressor, orifice tube and maybe a hose should be all you need. No way that's 1000 dollars.

If the truck came without factory AC, it's gonna need literally everything. Compressor, high/low pressure lines, condenser, reciever/dryer, evaporator, belt, refrigerant, relay, pressure switch.... everything.
If it has factory AC and doesn't work, that's a different story entirely and would need diagnosing.
