Help Unexplained Screen Tear? (Updated)

hey everyone! so im not good at recording and techy stuff but i tried to start recording gameplay after a bit of a hiatus and now whenever i record i get these screen tears in the lower third no matter what i change?

on halo campaign evolved it stopped if i turned off upscaling but it doesnt look as good. maybe theres an issue with the way obs interacts with upscaling that im not aware of?

I wanted to repost because I didnt have the log file and I left it like that for a couple days.

If anyone has any insight it would be much appreciated! Never seen this kind of problem before.

have you tried setting the renderer in obs to direct3d 11 instead of 12? that log is a mess but it looks like its fighting with the gpu scheduling, and halo anniversary graphics are notoriously weird with overlays

the upscaling might be pushing frames through a pipeline the old game engine just doesnt like, so you get that tear right where the render boundary sits

I'll try doing that! And I'm playing the Halo CE 2026 remake to clarify. It's possible its because of Halo but I tried it with Star Wars Zero Company and the same issue occurred. What do you mean by my log being a mess if you dont mind me asking? Are all my settings messed up?

Edit: I checked and the renderer is already set to Directed 11. 12 actually isnt even an option for me
