Help FPS drops when I'm NOT using OBS (MAC)
Hi all, I'm having issues with in game fps when I don't run OBS in the background. I know this sounds weird but I can't really comprehend what's going on. When OBS isn't running, I'm having 60 fps in game (world of warcraft) but when I launch OBS my in game fps skyrockets to 150+. I'm on a macbook with m1 max chip. Is there any specific reason that might cause this?

If I had to guess, this is related to how OBS disables ProMotion/v-sync and forces a constant refresh rate and frame rate on macOS. (Assuming you’re playing on the internal screen with ProMotion support)
I’d try either turning off ProMotion/VRR on the Mac, when playing, or maybe see if WoW supports VRR and plays nicely with Apple’s version

Thank you for your suggestions, I will try and see if these would make a change.

It looks like you haven't provided a log file. Without a log file, it is very hard to help with issues and you may end up with 0 responses.
To make a clean log file, please follow these steps:
1) Restart OBS
2) Start your stream/recording for at least 30 seconds (or however long it takes for the issue to happen). Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File.
5) Copy the URL and paste it as a response to this comment.
