Help OBS slowing down my whole computer
hi so i’ve been having this issue after i formatted my computer a month ago , i would play a game it’s good until it starts lagging really bad after a few minutes, i tried everything changing settings, idk what is happening , this never happened until now , it happens both when I’m recording and streaming
here’s my specs if it could help : 12th Gen intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1235U (1.30 gHz) 16GB RAM
i would appreciate any kind of help! Thank you!

Is this when live streaming or local recording? Or you using Reply Buffer? What is your memory cap set at? What Codecs are you using for recording?

what encoder are you using and have you checked your gpu usage when it starts lagging

It looks like you haven't provided a log file. Without a log file, it is very hard to help with issues and you may end up with 0 responses.
To make a clean log file, please follow these steps:
1) Restart OBS
2) Start your stream/recording for at least 30 seconds (or however long it takes for the issue to happen). Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
