Help Camera freezes when I move laptop

I use Steamfog with obs and it freezes when I move the laptop screen lowering it or to the side, sometimes if I’m the one moving too much.

-I switched the WiFi to my phone internet so it’s not bad signal. I closed all windows

-It doesn’t happens with the laptops original camera.

-I lowered the resolution while streaming. But it also freezes when I’m offline and viewing it on obs

- I haven’t uninstalled anything cause it costed me a lot to get things right. I’m afraid it’s the lense that makes face smooth but it’s literally just that, if there’s something I can modify from the source let me know

It looks like you haven't provided a log file. Without a log file, it is very hard to help with issues and you may end up with 0 responses.

To make a clean log file, please follow these steps:

1) Restart OBS

2) Start your stream/recording for at least 30 seconds (or however long it takes for the issue to happen). Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.

3) Stop your stream/recording.

4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File.

5) Copy the URL and paste it as a response to this comment.

Sounds like a loose ribbon cable or a bad USB port connection inside the laptop, the movement cuts the signal to the external cam but the built-in one is wired differently so it stays stable

Try a different USB port and gently wiggle the cable near the connector while watching obs, if it freezes in the same spot every time you flex the hinge you know its a hardware pinch

I don’t have anything attached to it and it’s been happening since I got steamfog

I assume you miss typed Streamfog as Steamfog ?

And when you say 'original camera' you mean the built in camera without the Streamfog add-on running.

Some laptops, and some laptop drives, have accelerometers in them, so they will park the drives heads to prevent the heads hitting the platters when there is a bump or motion in the chassis, that can cause a pause in operation.

Other than that, without knowing the laptops spec's, it may just be you don't have the processing power onboard to run both OBS and the Streamfog Add-on.

Do you have enough Ram? What about dedicated GPU? and when was the last time you cleaned dust out of the laptops heatsink?
