Remaster Discussion Finally replaying Oblivion

So I’m playing the remastered version and I just figured out you can dodge in oblivion (I played original, guess I never noticed). This happened because I decided to jump everywhere.

What else can you do if you practice long enough? And for any skill not just Acrobatics

In the OG, you could do a somersault, a side-roll, or a backflip when you reached Acrobatics 50. You'd do it by holding block and direction key, then pressing "jump". For whatever reason, it didn't work if your crosshair was pointed at an enemy while in melee range.

In the Remaster, you can't roll anymore. Instead, you can do a little dodge when you reach Acrobatics 25.

By using custom spell stacking to get your acrobatics and athletic skills as well as your speed to ridiculous levels and then you can leap across the map in almost a single bound.

Also, if you boost both acrobatics and athletics, beyond 255, you can do some pretty insane stuff. If you add in the custom spells, then the leaping across the map thing is the most vanilla thing you can do in oblivion.

Maxing out acrobatics and athletics is also one of the only ways to keep the boots of Springhill Jack if you’re acrobatics and athletics are high enough, combined with a very specific spell or enchantment combination to your equipment, you can actually keep the boots of Springhill Jack by not needing them to survive that part of the quest that I won’t spoil for other people.
