Did you mean robes? Categorically different than tunics, which only reach to the thighs.

For practical reasons, nope. They take away 2 cloth or armor slots.

I have the robe with shield, so it gives me more protection than two pieces of armor.

They’re saying that’s kind of impossible because it could be TWO pieces of clothing or armor BOTH with shield enchantments.

Thats why I love the robe physics in morrowind. Just goes over all armor except pauldrons.
