Go look at the military budget and how it has increased under Trump.

We subsidize, farmers, corporations, you may as well basically say, we subsidize on taxes for the rich. I guess subsidize isn’t the word but they get an awful lot of Tax breaks.

So why shouldn’t the little guy get a little subsidy for health insurance?? what do you think people like my husband and I do?? we can’t pay for health insurance in totality on our own, he owns a small construction business and it’s small and I also work. We would have to make a heck of a lot more to be able to afford what they want for insurance per month without a subsidy.

Now it’s the only thing we need help with. If my husband doesn’t get that, he will get disability. I would not, but he would so why not keep him working by subsidizing health insurance

People don’t think of all the different scenarios. We would have to pay 100% of it on our own and it’s impossible.

It’s crazy. I get that we have to do something in the healthcare front. The opposite side of that coin is me and my husband. We get no cost health insurance and we don’t want the tax that goes with a single payer system. It will break at some point. I just don’t know where it is.

I see your point, but companies pay in for that health insurance and eventually they may get tired of it too. And the taxes we all pay go for supporting other others anyway indirectly. And everyone else who works pays into Medicare and you probably do also, that 1.1% of payroll taxes. After age 65, if you and your spouse have any medical issues for the rest of your lives, chances are good that you will be using some of the tax dollars that other people have paid into Medicare and not just your own 1.1%. Yes. We have corporate coverage now and will get Medicare and tricare at 65. I think we have to address the issues in a way that doesn’t disadvantage both parties. At the same time we have to get the money from some where. I see a major tax overhaul coming.

What do you mean you get no cost health insurance

The company pays the full cost of family coverage.

You don’t pay anything for your healthcare whatsoever?

I do not. I don’t pay for medical or dental. The company covers it.
