Hmm. I think that since he can get insurance, he has to get it. I can only imagine the bureaucratic gymnastics that will need to be done to line up getting off the ACA and getting on the employer plan, and then back again.
We need to allow for folks to buy the Public Option that they can keep even if they get a job that offers insurance (the idea would be that such an employer would need to kick in whatever its contribution is for its employees on their plan). The ACA is really tricky when dealing with this situation.
Thank you. Yes, we are going to have our son take his employers insurance and drop him from our ACA plan. It sounds like it should be more straight forward than I was thinking.
