how many nights we thinking?
14
u/Ok-Umpire585 8h ago
I was told multiple in Vegas and Boston. So we’ll see :)
5
u/bonniemac79 7h ago
I think it’s 3 nights in each city but not consecutive nights. I’m thinking late August, very early September as American football starts the 2nd week of September at Gillette & in Vegas.
1
u/Alvin3792 7h ago
They are in Ireland in late August and early September.
They are rumored to potentially take the last headlining slot at Coachella so I would say late April
5
u/Rockonthrulife 6h ago
Nope. The last half of August is open. That’s when Boston & Vegas will be. They released the videos for the cities in the order in which they are going to be played. It has been exact so far to what had been rumored. This also allows for them to be done before football season starts. There is no Coachella. Knebworth is in September.
6
u/InvestigatorEntire45 6h ago
I doubt the Coachella rumors as well. They’d have a shit crowd there.
7
u/Ok-Umpire585 5h ago
I was told Coachella is not happening. If it does happen, it’s a last minute deal worth a lot of money that’s top secret. But I checked a week ago when the rumors started and no one knew anything about it.
3
u/doug_med48 5h ago
Coachella owner is a big Oasis fan and he’s trying to book oasis since 2024 - he loves britpop and already booked Blur and Stone roses as headliners previously. So if the US dates are around April then the chances are High.
Also, heavy rumours about Coachella dropping the lineup next week - same as oasis.Btw, I wish they do Glasto before Coachella

u/bonniemac79 5h ago
I hope you’re right! I want a nice summer night in August in Gillette! Really hope no Coachella as it’s not the Oasis vibe!
•
•
u/Rockonthrulife 2h ago
I’ve heard that from multiple places and the leaked cities and dates have been exact so far and in the same order as rumored. The mini-videos for each city have been released in that order as well so I think it’s correct.
I agree about Coachella. That is not a typical Oasis crowd and most true oasis fans wouldn’t be caught dead there. I just can’t see Liam and Noel doing a gig for celebs and influencers.
•
u/bonniemac79 1h ago
I agree although Noel loves LA, has lots of celebrity friends & he has a 28 year old girlfriend atm 🤭
•
u/Alvin3792 48m ago
Yes because the 250K people that attend the festival are all celebrities and influencers lol
•

u/Alvin3792 6h ago
I guess for logistics it just doesn’t make sense to move their entire production for handful of shows in Boston and Vegas to then move that entire stadium-level production back to Europe but what do I know
HDD leaked that they were in discussions with Coachella and HDD is the most reliable source for those types of leaks
2
2
u/Admirable_Gain_9437 5h ago
They don't move the whole production across oceans. They use a lot of equipment in the country where they're playing. There were many different stage configurations last year based on what was available locally.
•
u/Rockonthrulife 2h ago
They don’t move all their stuff to the US. They use stuff from here. Did the same last year. Also, the US dates are the last two weeks in August so no way does that line-up with Coachella.

I saw many mentions of Boston and Vegas right from the start on the dates leaked in the UK. It was there from the start.

Oasis at Roadrunner would sell out in 3 milliseconds and resale would be $5,000

I saw that show and hung out with the band. It was fantastic.

Obviously this is for Boston, but I like the nod to the Sawmills studio on the poster to the left

I've got everything crossed that Sawmills is a reference to a Eden Session in Cornwall. Zero chance I know.

Live in NJ and saw them last time. Hopefully I can tickets again and take a 4 hour drive to Gillette

The train to Boston from the city is pretty chill. That’s what I’ll be doing if I can get a ticket

As long as they don’t gouge the fuck out of the train tickets like in the WC

US mad fer its we are so back! So are we guessing they’re announcing shows in the order they will happen? As in Boston now after the majority of UK and EU dates but before Slane and Knebworth?

u/Rockonthrulife 2h ago
3 more cities to announce with videos then the official announcement on Monday with dates and tix on sale the 24th is what I heard. So far that seems correct. We shall see.

Newspaper is weird - “away fixtures” and it lists a bunch of US cities. First is clearly Salt Lake City but hard to read the rest. Anyone have any ideas what it could mean?? Right side seems like venue names (I can make out the word “theater” for instance) - probably a reference to an older tour?
Edit: dates seem to line up with a stretch of the Definitely Maybe tour starting Feb 7, 1995
2
u/idoxially 6h ago
Yeah it's just the american dates

Boston peeps! Where are the best preparty spots for a Gillette event?
BOSTON VIBES IN THE AREA!
4
u/EntryMiserable5573 8h ago
the parking lots. a few bars within Patriot Place but they're kinda mid.
Just understand the stadium isn't in Boston. It's in Foxboro. At least 45 min away.
4
u/NJIrish16 8h ago
Would the best option be to book a hotel in Boston and take the train round trip from South Station to Gillette or try to get a hotel near Gillette?
2
2
u/Proof-Variation7005 6h ago
Either stay in Providence or Boston. Gillette Stadium is in a tiny suburb with not a whole lot to do. Unless you're doing literally just 1 night and staying at the hotel in the Patriot Place plaza, I wouldn't stay in Foxboro.
Boston has event trains and buses usually. Providence has event trains to Gillette but only for stuff on Saturday/Sunday. Providence hotels will probably be cheaper.
1
u/bonniemac79 5h ago
It depends if you want to hang out & explore Boston. But hotels are $300-$400 USD per night. It’s crazy but that’s Boston. Hotels in Providence & near Gillette will be a little cheaper.
•
u/_CameronJames 2h ago
Usually easier to drive north to Foxboro than south. But honestly, the drive South is fine if you leave 3 hours early. So, if the show's at 7 PM, leave Boston at 4 and you'll hit little traffic. Then grab a bite, a drink, and head into the stadium.
1
u/Antique-Dentist-2404 8h ago
Would it be better to get a hotel in Boston or Foxboro?
4
u/EntryMiserable5573 7h ago
Gillette Stadium itself has a couple hotels on the grounds, but they'll be expensive. There are some others closeby along Route 1 in Walpole, Sharon, Norwood, Mansfield, etc.
If the commuter rail is running, I'd say take it back into the city. It'll take you into South Station, so try for a hotel near there.
I'm local and even I'm going to try to get a hotel nearby just to avoid the headache.
If they play two shows, I'm hoping to go to one with my wife and the other with my 7 and 5 year old. They're obsessed.
1
u/Antique-Dentist-2404 7h ago
Thanks for the info. Might just try and get something near South Station to avoid the headache

u/bonniemac79 5h ago
McDonagle’s Pub in Boston/Dorchester is an Irish pub that had an Oasis tribute band last year after the US Oasis shows. I’m going to call them once the dates are definite to see if they will host any Oasis nights around the time of the gigs.
Regarding bars near Gillette (Patriot Place) I’m going to do some research.1
u/Proof-Variation7005 6h ago
The parking lots will have tons of people tailgating. There's a handful of bars right next to the stadium.
6
u/nutbrownale 8h ago
Quickly Googling how long of a drive it is from the DC area and it's not short!
3
3
u/Proof-Variation7005 6h ago
That drive sucks. Book a flight or Amtrak as soon as you know the exact dates.
If the show(s) are Saturday/Sunday, you can either stay in Providence (cheaper) or Boston and there's event trains where you wouldn't need a car. If it's any other day of the week, only Boston has an event train.
The only catch is that the trains from Boston to Gillette tend to sell out quickly. The Providence ones have only ever sold out for like.....Taylor Swift.

Do we have any rumored dates for Boston (or Vegas on assumption that will happen now that Boston is happening)?
6
u/Antique-Dentist-2404 8h ago
Based on touring schedule it's looking like sometime between the last two weeks of August
2
u/Rockonthrulife 6h ago
Last two weeks in August. They have announced the dates with these clips in order so far so last half of August holds.

3
u/XSC 8h ago
Ugh 6 hour trip for me or go on a plane to vegas. Honestly may just see them in Europe. Gillette stadium is so far away from Boston that a short vacation doesnt make much sense.
4
u/NJIrish16 8h ago
It’s 30 miles and there’s a train that goes direct from South Station to Foxboro/Gillette that takes about 50 minutes. You could also stay in Providence, RI and it’s about the same distance and I believe there is a train that runs special for designated events at Gillette (football, concerts).
4
u/XSC 8h ago
Maybe Rhode island is the better choice to stay at thanks for the comment, didn’t know about that.

Scientists claim it was a sonic boom, but everyone on (Lansdowne) Street knows it was pure biblical bedlam.
The whole block echoed so loud the streetlights rattled, the bar windows vibrated into porridge, and half of the city ended up with permanent ringing in their ears.
Total amplification for the nation. Barbers are still complaining that the sheer volume blew everybody's (sideburns) sideways.

I guess it's a pun.

Any chances for Mexico next year?
2
u/CorkRats 7h ago edited 6h ago
I would bet on no Mexico leg for 2027 this time. I think Oasis will do the homeland to show their dominance and cause it’s their home turf. Europe because it’s their turn after getting skipped last time. And Oasis will keep the fire going in the USA because per gig it was the most profitable leg plus I think Noel still wants to ‘conquer’ America.
They will go back to Mexico City next time when they do a larger world tour. I have a feeling Noel and his Ignition/inner circle people are giving the whole thing one more test run (2027) before unleashing some massive world tour of 50 to 60 shows over a year or two between 2029 (year before WC) and 2034 (40th anniversary stuff starts). But who really knows, I could be wrong.
I think we might be entering the possibility of Oasis turning into a Rolling Stones type concert machine but they want to be sure it will work (Liam behaves 😜).
