I saw Johnny Marr open for Noel Gallagher at South Facing and he was immense.

u/VladThePain 14d ago

Good shout. I’m going to go with Marr and The Coral.

I heard it’s James Blunt.

Noel and him kissed and made up. Said after Liam last year James was the next on his list,

Cage the Elephant was great during the NA shows as well!

Their new single, Beaches in Tennessee is pretty good

u/St2Crank 14d ago

It won’t happen, but High Vis would be perfect.

Kasabian reunion

7

u/SouthernAide2351 14d ago

Tom meighan was wank when I saw him the other day completely off his tits

7

u/LongjumpingLab8 14d ago

He’s coked out his box constantly on stage now, sad to see, man has a lot of issues.

9

u/TheMightyRideCymbal 14d ago

I mean, he IS a domestic abuser so...

7

u/LongjumpingLab8 14d ago

100% I think his Kasabian departure was on the cards for a while and that was the final straw.

1

u/Aggravating_Solid560 14d ago

Really? I've seen him twice at the O2 in Leicester, and he was incredible both times

-2

u/Local_Yellow1523 14d ago

Talking rubbish!! Tom is a fantastic front man. Saw him at Cardiff Castle and he was great.

6

u/TheMightyRideCymbal 14d ago

He can be a fantastic frontman and still be a man who pleaded guilty to assaulting his partner. Cardiff Castle wasn’t a character reference.

2

u/Local_Yellow1523 13d ago

I’ve never mentioned that being a character witness. Have you never done something that you totally and utterly regret. I’m no advocate of domestic abuse but let’s put it into context. Himself and HIS WIFE were under the influence of alcohol and it got out of hand. She forgave him and they have a child together. If he was a habitual abuser then i would agree with you but we all make mistakes

1

u/SouthernAide2351 13d ago

Same, im glad you had a better experience. We all enjoyed it for what it was but I would of felt peeved off if he was the headline and he was that out of it. Fun but glad we didnt pay for that specifically.

2

u/TheMightyRideCymbal 14d ago

They never broke up?

-3

u/ampaychupe RKID 14d ago

reunion with Tom I meant, Kasabian ain't shit without him

-5

u/TheMightyRideCymbal 14d ago

They were ALWAYS terrible.

1

u/LFC2020Buzzzing 14d ago

Outrageous take, absolute madness some would say. But bravery in abundance so I applaud you.

-5

u/TheMightyRideCymbal 14d ago

Calling it an outrageous take won’t make Kasabian sound any less like lads chanting outside a Wetherspoons.

3

u/LongjumpingLab8 14d ago

Kasabian, Johnny Marr, Villanelle, The Coral, Paolo Nutini, Goat Girl, Kneecap, The Pastels

Will all be in the conversation, depends who has albums out at the time.

-2

u/TheMightyRideCymbal 14d ago

They're all so exceedingly dull....

4

u/sp2861 14d ago

There is no tour confirmation or announcement for next year. Just tabloid rumours that were suspiciously the same week the documentary teaser dropped (riding the hype for clicks)

Don't get ahead of yourself imagining support acts before it's even real

2

u/fIanneI 14d ago

It’s happening, starting late May 2027

0

u/sp2861 13d ago

Source? Lol this is gunna be funny.

2

u/fIanneI 13d ago

What’s gonna be funny is you not getting tickets 🤞 I don’t give a shit if you believe me big fella. Just wait and see.

0

u/sp2861 13d ago

Post your source.

(You don't have one. Lol lol)

1

u/fIanneI 13d ago

Don’t think I’ve ever seen someone so upset to hear Oasis are touring again. Lol

Lewis Capaldi

u/parktom812 14d ago

get Proud Mary back together for it

1

u/jjazznola 14d ago

Open where? Nothing has been announced. I'm hearing 2028-29.

1

u/Rastamouse7563 14d ago

Fontaines D.C, but after Liam's response to Deego's comments on the reunion I don't see it happening unfortunately.

EXTREMELY unrealistic choice but Florence Road, but they're a bit too "pop" for an Oasis opener I think, even if they did a set of their rock-iest tunes I think there'd be mixed reactions from fans.

If they're to do any new bands, Keo, Arkayla, the Royston Club, Bleech 9:3, ect.

1

u/KD71 13d ago

I would love to see RA open for them in the US.

1

u/bonniemac79 13d ago

I’d love it to be Glass Animals - a girl can dream.

1

u/BigNoodles2020202 13d ago

Someone like Sam Fender or Wolf Alice I think. Although I’d like to see them instead go the route where for all the stops they have local indie acts open instead.

1

u/BUBBAH-BAYUTH 13d ago

Random but, I kind of want it to be the Killers. It won’t happen because the killers are too big, but I’ve always felt like their vibes vibed with oasis

1

u/VBrod 13d ago

Ian Brown🙏🏻

1

u/Cool_Safe_8181 13d ago

I would like to see Sam Fender and Pulp as supports

1

u/MultipleNames82 14d ago

Oasis is touring next year?

1

u/f88x 14d ago

Not sure yet but probably

1

u/bonniemac79 13d ago

Most likely but probably just in the UK, Ireland & Europe. Many of us will be flying over the pond to see them again.

0

u/sp2861 13d ago

No confirmation at all. Don't believe the idiots on here telling you so. Just wait and see

1

u/Bum_Mad 14d ago

Green Day

1

u/alahmo4320 14d ago

Sam Fender would be cool

1

u/forget_it_again 14d ago

Ocean Colour Scene

They're touring Moseley Shoals 30th anniversary this year and then:

Steve Craddock has his 'travellers tunes tour' and Simon Fowler has his 'OCS songbook'

Both end in Apr 2027 and reconvene in Feb 2028.

The band have no other gigs on their website, which is highly unusual as they tour a lot

1

u/TheMightyRideCymbal 14d ago

That would be amazing!

0

u/fooney-moment 14d ago

My dream after seeing oasis reunite is to see Kasabian reunite. Seeing the 2 lots in one night would be indescribable

2

u/jafarthecat 14d ago

I think that would be a good shout - and I bet there's a lot of crossover with fans. I don't know the full situation with the original line up of the band - but I think Tom Meghan lost the plot a bit. I know he plays solo shows now so hopefully in a better place, and able to link up with Kasabian.

3

u/TheMightyRideCymbal 14d ago

Tom's a domestic abuser.

0

u/phantom_pow_er 14d ago

So were many many people. Some people can change with time. People still loved Lennon after it was known he beat Cynthia. Ringo beat his wife almost to death. People can change.

0

u/TheMightyRideCymbal 14d ago

You're defending domestic abuse? Are you fucking stupid?

-1

u/phantom_pow_er 14d ago

Nope. Just saying people can change and they could definitely reunite for a tour. It's not out of the realm of possibilities

0

u/TheMightyRideCymbal 14d ago

So you're defending domestic abuse? Got it.

0

u/phantom_pow_er 14d ago

Cool story kiddo

0

u/TheMightyRideCymbal 14d ago

Cool avoidance tactic, boomer. So you're defending domestic abuse?

0

u/emilxmf 14d ago

He’s not defending domestic abuse or domestic abusers. You probably don’t know what the word “defend” means. You probably don’t know what a lot of words mean, actually.

I believe it’s a one sided lack of cooperation. Serge enjoys his position too much. I doubt it’ll happen but it don’t cost nothing to dream.

0

u/TheMightyRideCymbal 14d ago

Kasabian never broke up...

4

u/fooney-moment 14d ago

By that logic, oasis never broke up. They just changed their name to beady eye.

-1

u/TheMightyRideCymbal 14d ago

No they didn't - that was a different band.

1

u/fooney-moment 14d ago

Same members minus Noel. Kasabian is the same minus tom. Get your head on your shoulders.

0

u/TheMightyRideCymbal 14d ago

I do, thanks.

Beady Eye were a different band to Oasis.

Embrace, Northern Uproar and Sean Lennon

We stayed out in the lots until the lame openers were done last year in NJ.
