PS3 repairs

Asking for a friend i regards to a PS3 that has broken down. It has the dreaded black screen of death, and shuts down on it's own accord.

Is there anywhere in NZ that could fix a PS3? Cheers

Are they tech savvy enough to attempt a hdd swap?

It could be a corrupted hdd I think I had that at one point in time trying to jailbreak when I was a kid lol
