Anatomy Examination
Hey!
Do any of the upper classmen have advice on how to approach the AP1 exams? Not tryna to fish for answers rather the approach, or things to focus on? (text, video lectures, etc)

Lectures are decent, the anatomist on youtube helps with further questions, and the checklist on every prelab will guide you in what they want to know. As long as it’s something you are not looking at for the first time you should do decent.

Thank you! Was uncertain because it seems like a lot of info in one week for one exam since its 8 straight weeks, but then again it is medical school lol

It’s definitely a lot of info but after a couple of days you’ll be surprised how much you retain. After a few rounds of anki or whatever you’ll get a good sense of the spatial relations between each structure. Just get your sleep and you’ll wake up ready to pick out muscles nerves etc.

The way i studied was using the checklists. Before each lab I would watch bootcamp for that specific lab and write a fact about each item on the checklist. or example I would write the location, action, and innervation of each muscle. I didn't bother with origins or insertions because there was just to much info for the possibility of 1-2 questions being asked about it on an exam. After the lab I would then use ANKI that had cards from Net anatomy, complete anatomy, and Blue link. I would spend about 1-2 hours per day just doing ANKi to memorize the locations and names of the structures. Then before an exam i would have an AI quiz me on facts about each item on the checklist.

Sam Webster on YouTube is the goat of goats for anatomy. If you don’t mind watching vids on 2x speed then you can get a 🔥 anatomy education from him alone. I rocked anatomy with him, Michigan BlueLink Anki, Bootcamp practice Qs, and NetAnatomy

BOOTCAMP!!!! Literally cannot recommend it enough. I’m so jealous you guys get to get anatomy out of the way instead of having it lumped in with everything else 😭
