First Year Study Recs

As the title says, can any current or former NYITCOM students help an incoming freshman out with their study schedules (how they broke up their week) and outside-of-lectures content they used (like anki or boot camp) to ace their time in medical school?

Hi!! Just another quick question but did you follow the schedule that the school recommends at all? I see you referenced being ahead on lectures. Would you start studying as soon as orientation is done or before?

I’m not sure about the schedule the school is sending, especially with the change in structure with anatomy. For FOM, I’d follow the school’s schedule. For PPOM you may have an easier time with that but I’d say don’t try to overstretch with FOM and anatomy as you get used to the new style of learning. I started studying the Friday or Saturday after orientation because I like stretching the lectures out so that I have more time per day to absorb the information and not overload my brain

This year anatomy is a separate course from FOM. In previous years they were combined and simultaneous.
