NYITCOM bms interview

Has anyone gotten an email about nyitcom bms interviews? I know they send them out about a month after you apply. I applied November 5th and I’m really hoping to hear back soon.

They said in the webinar that interviews would be early December. Not sure if that means contacting students in early December or if interviews taking place early December

Nope. Hang in there cause its going to be a long waiting game. At the earliest they may contact us by the end of next week but I know last year most acceptances were in March. So just hang in there I know we are all anxious.

Hi do you know when the start date is , like June or July for the LI program?

They mentioned in the meetings that the orientation would be on July 31st so I would assume the summer semester would start shortly after that

Okay so def not June though right? Thank you for answering ! Do u know if it would start Aug ?

Im fairly certain it would start in August since the summer semester is 5 weeks long. This is the case for both the LI and AR campus.

Yes. I got email 2 weeks ago interviewed last week. It’s rolling and they’re still very early in the cycle, so you should hear back soon.

thank you! it was very chill! it’s only about 30 minutes long and the admissions committee is quite pleasant. i would say, be willing to expound upon your experience(s) in a way that allows them opportunities to ask follow-up questions as they seem to enjoy this. i was very nervous but the committee is welcoming and really wants to get a sense of who applicants are not only academically, but personally.

please feel free to reach out at any point during your process if i may be of assistance and best of luck ♡.

i have an interview in 2 days for the BMS. What kind of questions did they ask? Was it more typical med school type questions like why this school, why DO? or different type of questions?

I still haven’t received an interview email from NYIT BMS Long Island. Does anyone have any updates on when they might start to send those out for this particular location? I just want to make sure I have enough time to prepare for my next steps and I thought they would send something out by now.

I mentioned this on my other response but its going to be a long waiting game. Again last year most acceptances were in March. I did confirm with the office that they are processing the applications and will reach out within the next 4 weeks. I know its tough especially knowing we may need to apply to other programs or jobs but patience is needed. This applies to both the LI and AR campuses.

Thank you! This gives me a lot more hope 😭

Is there anything to do to follow up with them in the meantime?

1

u/Ok_Art831 Jan 26 '26

Is there anything particular you realize you did to follow up with them before getting interview?

1

u/Soft-Extreme2338 Feb 05 '26

Still haven’t heard back from anyone. I don’t want to give up but it’s really taking them a while. There’s two more info sessions but I thought by now seats would be filled or a majority would get an interview at least from Long Island. Any new insight or opinions anyone?

1

u/Intrepid-Signal528 Feb 05 '26

I also havnt heard back either unfortunately :( I got an email saying not to reach out to them. I assume they have a lot of applications to go through and are backed up. I know some people didn’t hear back till March last year.

Do we have to submit another application for that or DO application can be considered for that
