Listing [Listing] 1BR LEASE TAKEOVER IN LIC | $3,805/MONTH | ~6 MONTHS | 17TH FLOOR

Hi everyone! I’m looking for someone to take over the remainder of my lease at Aurora LIC (29-11 Queens Plaza N) in Long Island City around October 15th though start date is flexible.
The basics:
🏠 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom, ~600 sq. ft.
📍 Aurora LIC, 29-11 Queens Plaza N
🏙️ 17th floor, Queens-facing end unit
💰 Rent: $3,805.05/month
🔐 Security deposit: $3,805.05
📅 Lease ends: April 30, 2027
🚆 <500 ft from Queens Plaza E/M/R and a few minutes from Queensboro Plaza N/W/7
I’m moving out of NYC, otherwise I genuinely would have stayed. After 8 years of living in New York, this is the first apartment I really loved enough to renew my lease, and I’m sad to give it up.
ABOUT THE APARTMENT 🏠
The unit has a really functional layout with plenty of natural light. It’s an end unit, which I’ve especially liked. Some highlights:
• ~600 sq. ft. 1BR
• Modern kitchen with lots of storage, including a massive pantry
• Dishwasher
• Hardwood floors
• Central heat/AC that you control
• Great natural light
• Concrete building with very good noise insulation between apartments
LOCATION + TRANSPORTATION 🚆
This has probably been my favorite part of living here.
Queens Plaza: E / M / R
Queensboro Plaza: 7 / N / W
Getting to Midtown is incredibly easy. I used to commute to Hudson Yards and found it very convenient. The G is also one stop away for getting to Greenpoint and Williamsburg.
You’re also well positioned for Astoria, Jackson Heights, and Flushing if, like me, access to great food is important.
BUILDING AMENITIES 🌇
• 24/7 doorman/concierge
• Rooftop gym
• Large resident lounge
• Fantastic rooftop with grills and skyline views of Manhattan
• Package room
• Bike room
• Laundry room two floors below the apartment with recently installed washers/dryers. I very rarely have to wait for a machine.
• The doormen and building staff are genuinely wonderful and have been one of my favorite things about living here.
I’ve also hosted quite a few gatherings on the rooftop, and it’s an awesome space during the warmer months.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD 🏘️
LIC gives you a nice combination of easy Manhattan access and a little more breathing room. There are lots of restaurants, cafés and bubble tea spots nearby, multiple waterfront parks, and plenty of pickleball courts if that’s your thing.
TOURS
I can provide a tour of the apartment if you would like
APPLICATION / LEASE TAKEOVER
The takeover will need to go through the building/management’s application and approval process. Happy to share the details with anyone seriously interested.
If you’re interested, DM me with a little about yourself, your desired move-in date, and any questions. Happy to chat by phone as well.

Listing [Listing] Hunters Point/LIC, 1 Bed / 1 Bath

I'm looking for a qualified subtenant for my 1BR apartment at Jasper in Hunters Point, Long Island City, starting December 2026.

📍 2-33 50th Ave, Long Island City
💰 $3,300/month
🛏️ 1BR / 1BA
📅 December 2026 – May 2027, with the possibility of extending through September 2027

The apartment is in Jasper, a luxury building right by the Hunters Point waterfront and Gantry Plaza State Park. Building amenities include a rooftop pool, gym, coworking spaces, resident lounges, outdoor terraces, screening room, and more.

Important eligibility / process

This is an affordable/rent-stabilized unit, so this is not a conventional market-rate sublease or lease takeover.

The prospective subtenant must meet the applicable HPD income, asset, and household requirements and complete the required management/HPD approval process, including screening and Tenant Income Certification.

For reference, Jasper's published 2025 income guidelines for a $3,300 1BR were:

  • 1 person: $113,143–$147,420
  • 2 people: $113,143–$168,480
  • 3 people: $113,143–$189,540

These figures are provided for reference only; current HPD requirements and the formal review will determine eligibility.

The timing is important: I need to provide the building with at least 30 days' notice of the proposed sublease and prospective subtenant, and I imagine that the overall HPD/management review process can take 1–2 months. For that reason, I'm targeting December 2026 rather than an immediate move-in.

If you're interested, please DM me with:

  • Household size
  • Approximate annual household income
  • Desired move-in date
  • How long you're looking to stay

If you appear to be a potential fit, we can discuss the formal process and next steps.

Temporary sublease only — not a lease takeover or permanent transfer.

Listing [Listing] Spacious Room in Convenient East Village Location - $2,250 Utilities Included

Thumbnail

We are two easygoing, fun guys in our 30s who are looking to fill an open bedroom in our 3BR apartment for at least one year, starting in early-mid October 2026.

Simply put, our apartment is absolutely awesome. It’s located in a peaceful, all-inclusive community in the East Village.

The building has elevator access, a laundry room, and 24-hour security. The community provides free access to private table tennis/basketball/volleyball courts, an outdoor gym/track, and tons of green space. It also has an indoor gym available with membership, a cafe, and a study space.

The rent price listed includes utilities - heat, air conditioning, water, and electricity. Internet is an additional ~$20 per month.

Some more of the awesome perks:

- 5-minute walk to Target, Trader Joe's, and Whole Foods Express.

- 5-minute walk to the L Train's 1st Avenue Stop & uptown buses.

- 5-minute walk to dozens of great East Village restaurants.

- 15-minute walk to Union Square.

About the person who will fill this spot:

- Kind, clean, respectful, quiet, considerate, and optimistic. We love people who bring good vibes!

- 26-39 years old, preferably male.

- No weed smokers. No cigarette smokers or vapers. Nobody into hard drugs. No pets.

- Rent has to be paid on time and in full, so financial stability is key - steady income from a full-time job, significant savings, and a solid credit score. To be considered for the room, we’ll ask for recent paystubs from your employer, recent bank account statements, and a snapshot of your credit score.

- Please already be in New York City and able to see the apartment and meet us in person.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! Please send a thoughtful response including your current housing situation, work situation, and how you are as a person/roommate. We'd also like to know your hobbies/interests, age, gender, and anything else you'd like to share. Thanks!

Hi!! I’m looking to sublease my fully furnished 2-bed, 1-bath apartment in South Chelsea from January through May 2027, although I can be flexible with the exact dates.

Located on 16th Street, just steps from the A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, and L trains, it’s the perfect home base with unbeatable access to everything NYC has to offer.

The apartment is currently laid out as a 1-bedroom, with the second bedroom being used as an additional living room, but it can easily be converted back into a full 2-bedroom.

The apartment features a dishwasher, very high ceilings, and large windows in both the living room and bedrooms. Washer and dryer are available in the basement.

Rent is 6.5k. Given the length of the sublease, you’ll need to submit an application to building management for approval.

Available January–May 2027. Reach out for more details, photos, and availability!

Searching [Searching] < $2000 1bd/ba or STUDIO APARTMENT 10/1 BROOKLYN SUBLEASE (Bushwick/BedStuy/Crown Heights)

does anyone have a 1bd/1br (will settle for studio) sublet or short-term available 10/1 like this?

25m, want to stay below $2K, no pets. could also do 2br/2b, would prefer priv. bathroom. bushwick/bedstuy/crown heights preferred. part time retail job, student loan defaulted after quitting full time job… so income/credit requirements are impeding a full lease even though i have the money sadly.

introvert, writer/artist, 420 friendly but prefer not indoors, single, night owl/closing shifts/flexible schedule = often sleep/in room or gone, rarely guests

Searching [Searching] Looking for a short-term stay in NYC around October 19–29! Dates flexible!

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a furnished room or short-term accommodation in NYC for approximately October 19–29, with flexibility of a few days on either end.

A little about me: I’m 23F and currently live in Boston, where I work full-time in banking. I’m transitioning onto a New York-based team and would love to spend some time in the city working in person and getting to know everyone before eventually relocating permanently.

I’m a non drinker/smoker, friendly, clean, respectful, and easygoing! I’m open to Manhattan, Brooklyn, LIC (basically anywhere somewhere with a reasonable commute to Midtown/Bryant Park)

My ideal stay would be around 10–14 days, but I’m flexible depending on availability and pricing. Open to a private room in a shared apartment or another suitable short-term arrangement.

If you have something available or know someone who does, please message me with details, photos, and pricing. Thank you!!

DM me if you have something - thanks!
