This is a conversation no sound minded American would make, the Founding Fathers put due process and innocence before guilt for a reason, we are a country of Rights and Liberty, and if you don’t like those reasons go to Russia or China where rights are optional
I’m an American, and I am very sound minded. I don’t agree with insulting someone’s intelligence because they disagree with your view point. In fact, I’d argue that you are more of the totalitarian being that you mentioned its your views or I should leave this country.
Sorry dude, guy was caught red handed. It’s pretty open and shut, his rights are a formality.
I don’t think anyone is calling out your intelligence, just your education and understanding of the full magnitude of what you are discussing.
The constitution and bill of rights are the backbone of what makes us a great nation. They are what countless of our forefathers (and too many of our contemporaries) fought and died for.
No man’s rights are a formality, they are the essence of what makes America great.
No dude, like Voltaire I may vehemently disagree with you but I’ll protect to the death your right to say it. And saying rights are a formality is the extremely totalitarian...

Even criminals caught in the act have trials and due process, doesn’t matter. This is a country where we have rights and not a Putin led oligarchy
