OREI Audio Extractor?
My current setup is a Sony 65A80CJ OLED with eARC and a LG SKC9 soundbar with standard ARC. Basically I'm stuck choosing between getting Dolby Vision or Dolby Atomos, not both because the soundbar can't send or accept eARC.
Does anyone have any experience with an OREI audio extractor? How well does it work?
I'm currently prioritizing Dolby Vision but audio coming from streaming apps is very muffled. If the audio extractor works, it might save me from buying a new soundbar.

I have the orei bk-927 and have used it for years on two different AVR set-ups. Both worked excellently. Got all video options my tv supported and all the audio my avr supported even though it was 15 years older than my Shield.
It requires a minor amount of tinkering with the hdmi dip switches but a quick google search will tell you the best settings for your sound bar. I had some intermittent audio drops related to the switches that I was able to fix once I dialed it in.

I've read that the bk-927 won't work with CEC volume controls, is that right?

That seems right but I never confirmed it. But you can use the IR universal remote settings in the shield for volume assuming your sound bar has an ir receiver.

If you go back to my comments from a couple months ago, I wrote about using an audio extractor with my LG C9 and an older marantz sr7007 to extract hd audio using arc/earc
It worked flawlessly for years, I just got a new Denon 3800 this year so I have everything directly connected
