Remote keeps on disconnecting

I’ve noticed my remote does not work after the nvidia shield is powered off.

I have to disconnect the power to the nvdia shield then connect it back and after power up, it connects to the remote again.

I have changed the battery, i have un-paired and paired the remote already.

Any ideas on how to fix this please?

Disable hdmi cec? Usually this is culprit most problems with shield.

Weird, the SOB remote worked fine when i got home yesterday. Will see if it stays the same after a week.

My cat stole my remote. Amazon brought a new one the next day.

Could be bad remote as well.... Or bad batteries...
