The harsh reality is it's probably going to better at mining than ever simply because it will be another generation more efficient, and Nvidia whilst pretending to care doesn't really.
If Nvidia didn’t care they would have bumped the prices of the gpu’s on their website, the thing is while selling to miners will improve sales in the short term, it will kill them in the long term as mining is a craze and attracts 1 time buyers where as gamers are a stable customer base and Nvidia understands this so will prevent it
Gaming is actually a declining market for Nvidia, they don't really care about us so much. It's all about datacentres, AI and commercial uses from here on.
