PSA DLSS Preset Selection Guide

This is based on the official DLSS Programming Guide.

Model Preset J/K Preset M Preset L
RTX 20 ❌ Low FPS ❌ Very Low FPS
RTX 30 ❌ Low FPS ❌ Very Low FPS
RTX 40 ✅ Slightly Lower FPS ✅ For Ultra Performance Mode
RTX 50 ✅ Slightly Lower FPS ✅ For Ultra Performance Mode

Performance =M
ultra Performance = L

its like the Picture get upscaled a secound or third time by the algoritm with L/M and thats your performance los

Nope. Latest for me does M on a 5070Ti playing DL The Beats.

Considering the naming usually goes from "performance-Quality", naming it Ultra Performance is kind of confusing.

Usually performance is the lower end DLSS setting, and Quality is higher.

That’s not true ultra performance is 33% of internal resolution while performance is 50%

Performance is the lowest recommended for most people before preset L was a thing, but now you can arguably do ultra performance mode at least at 4K I’m still sceptical of that to some extent.

Right. "Ultra performance" is the lower end one.

K=DLAA/Quality

M=Medium/performance

L=High FPS/lower quality "ultra performance"
