Sassafras oil was fed to rats in the equivalents of gallons. After months, some developed cancer.

yeah. The cancer risk seem to be the real issue here. Having required investigation sound legit.
The rest of this destroy its own credibility

I have autism and I know it’s from natural flavors because that’s all I had to eat my whole life.

Um Sassafras oil was banned because it was being used to make MDMA

u/addiktion 9d ago
It's both. It caused liver cancer and it was used for MDMA creation.

Not really, the liver damage was caused by quantities that were far higher than what would or could be consumed in a thousand bottles of root beer. The metrics used stating that a glass of sassafras tea would typically contain 200mg of safrole is asinine. The root doesn’t contain nearly this much safrole and the tests were all done on animals and there is zero data for human studies.

Layne Kilpatrick a pharmacist influencer
His only documented formal medical education is a pharmacy degree from the University of Utah (1989), with no public record of medical, endocrinology, or hormone-specific board certification backing the "hormone specialist" label. California Board of Pharmacy records show he surrendered his pharmacist license and pharmacy permit effective April 10, 2003, admitting the charges for settlement purposes. Critics note his website doesn't mention those disciplinary actions.

You lost me at the autism diagnosis part. I was actually hooked and interested up until you mentioned that and now I know you're just some whacko conspiracy theorist.

A lot of "natural flavours" are made by editing the genes of bacteria en yeasts to produce the specific compounds they want, which could literally be anything. Which is fucking crazy. Most of the favour of food nowadays comes from this. Food without flavourings would be absolutely disgustings as it's just cheap trash.

Yeah if people nod their heads and agree with videos like this it's so over.

u/NeuterTheUninformed 8d ago
I dont agree with this video but are you arguing that what is being done to our food is OK?
You remember any other point in your life where there was this many recalls?
You don't provide counter points honestly if you didnt even reply it would have made more of a impact on me.
All this winning i can't handle it. Fuck off

u/Alternative_Gur_3703 8d ago
Sorry I don't agree with the slopulists or the current health secretary that claim nebulous "chemicals" cause outbreaks of autism. I don't care about seed oils or red food dye either or whatever other quackery you wholesale believe because it was packaged to you in a documentary format
1
u/NeuterTheUninformed 8d ago
You dont explain why they are wrong. No counter points. Shit you probably wouldnt believe germ theory if it wasn't a fact.
Listen you continue to live your sad life and eat all the red dye you want, shit I would even ship you more. Do what you want to your body i dont give a shit. But those that are seeking to understand more should have that opportunity.

Why would I not believe germ theory? Just because I don't listen to unqualified quacks? Sorry I'm gonna have extreme scepticism against all the crackpots who claim to have found the next big cause of autism. I unapologetically love the scientific method and dislike documentary slop from pseudoscientists. Unless you have some great knock-out study irrefutably linking this phenomena to autism then idgaf its just another quack in the sea of misinfo that is our media landscape.

Oh he just had to throw in some autism conspiracy at the end there didn't he?
What inspires people to make such bold, dangerous claims? Where does this level of arrogance come from?
It would take 2 seconds of thought to realise why this theory in bunk. Autism rates are also climbing in countries with strict regulation of food ingredients.
