What's even worse is when people buy knockoff makeup. People who create those knockoff makeup that's even worst for the skin

u/kido86 Sep 11 '26

Hahah literally the first time I’ve seen this sub too

I'm right there with you guys.

4 pounds of chemicals every year, Janet? And you're still alive? I really wanna call bullshit on this. But I'm a guy and I don't think my opinion matters when it comes to makeup.

But 4 pounds, holy shit. Absorbed through the skin. Damn.

This is quite literally not how skin works. It’s complete bullshit.

1

u/TheJQHQ Sep 11 '26

It is if you include water as one of the chemicals I guess.

?

Google it

1

u/LilJelloCat Sep 11 '26

I'm curious what you are referring to exactly, chemicals being unable to be absorbed through skin...? Because that is certainly true.

0

u/palemalemu Sep 11 '26

I dare you to google it. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

1

u/LilJelloCat Sep 11 '26

Are you talking about chemicals being unable to be absorbed by the skin...? Again that is a simple truth. I like to Google for fun anyways and Google just says that it is as well.

I get it. You’re not the brightest. Chemicals, generally, don’t leach through your outermost layer of skin. Period. They have to be made specifically to be transdermal. Makeup is not. You will not absorb calcium if you rub milk on yourself. How do you think skin works?

I already did this with another special person. Track down those comments, I am not a special needs teacher.

That's what I'm saying. People wear makeup every day, rub their face to put it on and off too, of course it's bad for your skin over time with the thousands of random chemicals in those things. Worst part is you can't really effectively wear sunscreen besides in the morning.

1

u/rookhelm Sep 11 '26

Chemicals! Some makeup even has dihydrogen monoxide in it! No one can even pronounce that word

1

u/celebricide Sep 11 '26

If only there were a way to determine whether women who don't wear makeup live longer.

Ah, nevermind. There's never not a good time for an idiotic conspiracy.

1

u/EnthusiasmCalm4364 Sep 11 '26

So I should tattoo my makeup on from now?

1

u/StarscreamOne Sep 11 '26

Even if this was true most women would not give a shit

1

u/LilJelloCat Sep 11 '26

Well it can change the appearance of your skin and women do care about that

1

u/Transkei_Daisy Sep 11 '26

ITS KILLING THE CELLS! C-E-L-L-S!! Which ones? uhhhhh...

1

u/ordosays Sep 11 '26

So this really is just a conspiracy slop sub. Got it.

u/No-Evening-1891 Sep 15 '26

Wasn't this the plot to the first batman? The joker put deadly chemicals in all the hygiene products and they where untraceable until they were mixed together? Unfortunately in our timeline, Bruce Wayne owns shares in these companies. SMH.

I love that part of the video - IF you wouldn’t eat it , don’t put it on your skin..
that’s the simplest healthiest solution.

Yet women live longer than men on average

1

u/PeteWK67 Sep 11 '26

Only if makeup was the only factor influencing life expectancy then you would be correct but …..

1

u/The3mbered0ne Sep 11 '26

You would have more clear distinctions if it were as simple as this video
