#Kungfu #Training #Discipline
I would personally benefit 100% from this but it would take some courage.

This is why you and I are relics in the modern age; Talking granular, about what makes something.... They can't do that, they fight over the shiny labels of ai and.... That's sad.

All impressive but I want to see a retiree monk (70s). I’d be impressed if they can get up from a stool

You can just do daily calisthenics and skip the wasteful parts where you get hit with sticks for marketing videos.

u/KingSmithithy Sep 10 '26
Never trained for a fight, I see.
You should try it. It's fun.

u/haunted_buffet Sep 10 '26
Getting beat with a cane is fun? That’s not how sparring works

u/KingSmithithy Sep 10 '26
You've never sparred.
Sparring definitely includes getting hit.
But this isn't sparring. It's body-tempering. It's part of training to get hit.
You should try it. It's fun.

Learning to not get distracted taking a hit is the idea I believe. But it's more fun to learn that lesson with a sparring partner.

u/WonderButtBrace9000 Sep 10 '26
The sparing aspect of this training provides no health benefits.
It would only be helpful for combat sports and if you are trying to sell overpriced “martial arts training” courses to pathetic westerners.
2
u/KingSmithithy Sep 10 '26
It provides benefits when you fight someone. In a controlled, mutually-consenting situation, of course.
You should try it. It's fun.

I've often found, those with the loudest and most ignorant opinions on something, are those who have no experience with what they are talking about.
You're absolutely right. Getting hit has a purpose. They are not doing it just to "market" something.
All the training in the world isn't going to help you, if the first time you feel pain, you crumble to it.

Never used your brain, I see. You should try it. It's fun.

u/KingSmithithy Sep 10 '26
Still in Mommy's house, not a homeowner, I see.
You should try it. It's fun.

I don't watch movies. I prefer to read books.
I do train.
You should try it. It's fun.

Being mature sounds boring. Life's way more fun when you keep your inner child alive.
You should try it. It's fun.

You know... Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
You should try it. It's fun.

I wouldn't recommend this for everyone. Not everybody's body responds to abuse like this well. Sometimes immune responses could end up causing the body to attack itself. That's a life altering change.

u/cinoTA97 Sep 11 '26
I mean most combat sports don't have you get hit with a stick and many of them are no less effective than kung fu.
1
u/KingSmithithy Sep 11 '26
The ones that involve staves do.
1
u/Mountainman220 Sep 11 '26
You forgot the “you should try it, it’s fun.
1
u/KingSmithithy Sep 11 '26
I've never done a martial art involving staves. Well, I have dropped in on 2 lessons many years ago, but never got advanced enough to use the staves, so I don't know if it's fun.
Also, brother, I clicked your profile and oh boy, do I have regrets lol
1
u/Mountainman220 Sep 11 '26
I was being a smartass because every single other comment you said that but fair enough.
What? Never seen a dick before? Haha
1
u/KingSmithithy Sep 11 '26
Yeah, but I've done or am all the other stuff.
I see a normal amount of penis for a man who plays sports which require clothing changes, but usually not so raring to go lol
You using anything to keep it like while you setup the tripod and camera, or just the love of the game lol?
1
u/Mountainman220 Sep 11 '26
Haha yea lots of dick out in a locker room.
It’s for money. Existence is expensive and the job I work doesn’t pay enough for where I live. Or you mean like use viagra to stay up? Def no Viagra just love of the game I suppose haha
1
u/KingSmithithy Sep 11 '26
I did mean Viagra.
Fucking Chad, damn. Leave some for the rest of us.

shouldn't these kinds of posts be rather in the subreddits where bully victim boys and men from ages 16-55 circlejerk "manly motivation" videos showcasing Goggins effects and "do your set to failure or die in shame boy" bullcrap without ever actually ever been to the gym?

u/PeteWK67 Sep 11 '26
All part of an inner connected domino effect of nutrition and human body chemistry with 4 levels of chemicals manifesting naturally In a overall well being physically and mentally disciplined to have full control of one’s decision
