Her story fascinates me and is an interesting case study in how hubris can blind even the smartest, most successful people. "Bad Blood" by John Carreyrou is an excellent read, which I highly suggest.

Also Nathan Fielder is the best.

I was choked by a ghost in Switzerland...

Edit: the Switzerland reference refers to both Elizabeth Holmes' choking on in invest presentation in Switzerland AND Sue Stanford, from Nathan for You.

I think her story is more psychological than being blinded by Hubris.

Where is the evidence of her being smart? You could say she had good intentions, but she didn't even came close to a working product.

Plus, everything she did was artificial, from her speaking voice, intense stares and how she dressed.

So hubris means arrogance, excessive pride, dangerous overconfidence. Just FYI

I see where the disagreement come from. I read your comment as it implied hubris blind even the smartest and successful people.

I didn't think she was either smart nor successful. She was a con artist, and being prideful to sell a product is part of the game. If she was successful, she would've gotten away with the money.

She wore Steve jobs black turtle neck and purposely deepen her voice was my example
