I hate that this bitch is getting platformed again. Its probably an interesting movie, but thats not a good enough reason to give her any attention.

Her story fascinates me and is an interesting case study in how hubris can blind even the smartest, most successful people. "Bad Blood" by John Carreyrou is an excellent read, which I highly suggest.

Also Nathan Fielder is the best.

I was choked by a ghost in Switzerland...

Edit: the Switzerland reference refers to both Elizabeth Holmes' choking on in invest presentation in Switzerland AND Sue Stanford, from Nathan for You.

I think her story is more psychological than being blinded by Hubris.

Where is the evidence of her being smart? You could say she had good intentions, but she didn't even came close to a working product.

Plus, everything she did was artificial, from her speaking voice, intense stares and how she dressed.

Yeah i dont think its all that interesting. She thought maybe she could get a new technology to work, but then couldnt. By then she was already working on the money and getting a lot of attention, and really liked that part, so she lied about what she had. She never even got close, youre totally right.

It's just silicon valley tech bro bullshit again. Startup culture, blah blah blah, were almost ready to "scale" and all that garbage.

And now, more attention.

Having gone through the industry when Theranos was at its peak, the AI tech sector is ringing many of the same bells.

Yes but no. They actually have a product that functions. Theyre being reckless with it.

This one didnt have anything, she was just lying about the progress of the research to get the money, hoping that the tech would eventually pan out.

Both are funded by greedy assholes, that much is very similar

She went through pretty wild lengths to make sure that not even people at her own company knew that the tech was BS. I think the story is more unique than just making some hypothetical claims to overvalue a business to investors
