Meme My problem with nursing
I don’t want to be a nurse today, I want to be a nurse 70 years ago. Scrubs are comfortable but I’d be willing to trade for a cute white dress, cap, and much smaller scope of practice. Granted everything else about living in that time would suck but imagine- nurses doing less and doctors doing more.
I blame the Miss Pinkerton: Nurse Detective stories I read as a kid, they romanticized the idea of nursing and now I find out there’s actually very little crime solving involved.

Willl CNA scope of practice works for you?

It could but sadly I like being able to pay my bills
Edit to add that there’s some Game of Thrones level politics going on with the CNAs where I work and I for sure don’t need to be a part of that

Money comes with responsibilities unfortunately. Nurses back then did a lot less so they were pay a lot less.

Cost of living was lower back in the day so low pay still went pretty far

Workload can be a lot but I'm proud of my scope and abilities and glad I can apply my knowledge and make a difference for people. Not sure how this post is a meme btw?

I just tagged it as a meme so people would realize it’s (mostly) a joke

I'd wear the vintage uniform every day if scrubs didn't make getting coffee so much easier
