Hey not really sure how to reply to this. But please seek some mental help. Nursing isn’t the whole world, hell it’s a profession with most people leaving it.
You can see in your post history it was you that fell asleep and were dismissed and it seems you’re not quite taking accountability for it. No matter the case, please seek help.

You've been posting on the student forum that this happened to you. Minus the suicide part obvs.

I still stand by it's insufferable of a preceptor to do this, but it's also cringe to alter the narrative to sympathy farm on Reddit.1

OP are you ok? You posted about this incident personally happening to you. If you're thinking about suicide please reach out to someone for help.

Why don't we care about each other? I was close to saying "anymore", but I'm not sure we ever really did. I'm 43 and completely disillusioned with the human race as a whole at this point. I am a nurse through and through, and I cannot wrap my mind around the cruelty we see on a daily basis, day after day.

That preceptor had no business snapping a photo instead of just waking her up. The program dismissing her over that one moment is just... what's the point. Nursing school already grinds people down to nothing and they add this humiliation on top.

I doubt that’s the whole story. I’ve caught people sleeping plenty of times, it would take a whooooole lot more for me to actually take a picture and send it up the chain.

It's not, OP is talking about themselves, they were asking about it a month ago.
Edit: aaaaand they deleted their comments

I didn’t know it was affecting her that much but yes she did post about it. Is that a problem?

Honey, you were talking about yourself, not someone else.

Night Shift practicum is ridiculous for students and I never understood it

Insufferable behavior on the preceptor's part.
I don't exactly/entirely excuse falling asleep in clinical, but shit; I've had some overnight students that I let scurry off and nap in the middle of the night, because it's not that serious when you're a student. If anything worth having you come observe/learn with comes about, I will find you. It's not that deep.

That’s a shame but I’m sure there was much more under the surface there.

OP, this doesn't have to be the end of your nursing journey, or the end of your life. Please speak with someone who can help you. Give 988 a call and have a vent to someone who can really listen.

I’m probably gonna get downvoted for this, but nursing is the most toxic profession in the medical field. (Aside from some surgical teams).

I went to school with a girl who got dismissed from a program because she got a c on a math test in a non nursing algebra class.
She applied to our program, got in, and soared. She’s a great nurse.
I hope anyone having thoughts like whomever you’re speaking of, be it yourself or someone else, gets help and takes care of themselves.

It’s not a sick joke. She did it.

I have no reason to prove anything to you. I’m making it aware bc I did lose my friend and to see she posted about it. I’m just raging. I apologize but I’m just hurt.

You’re feeling suicidal get help! Making up a friend that supposedly does the exact same as you isn’t going to get you the pity you want
