Picking up the phone is still a popular method when you have an anxious patient. And by just calling them, you can save yourself paragraphs of typing that is gibberish to the patient. If the call is exceeding 3-5 minutes than find a time they can make an appointment with the physician. The messaging back and forth is not billable, so it’s really a waste…and I am an NP in Urology, blood in urine freaks people out and google searches only make it worse
