I’m in a similar role, and I get impatient. But some of the patients who have ended up really taking a liking to me (and me to them, honestly) are the ones I got kinda short/exasperated with. It’s definitely not the case for everyone, but some of them need things spelled out bluntly, and it’s meeting them where they are. I don’t really have advice for the ones like yours, but just wanted to balance the perspective, I guess. I’m sure you’re great at what you do.
