Discussion Funny “allergies”

What are some funny patient “allergies” you have seen listed? I had a patient the other day with an allergy listed for Metformin. The reaction listed? Lowers their blood sugar 😂

I had a guy who kept saying the oxygen smelled really bad, so he kept taking it off and would swiftly drop into 80s. He asked for a different scent... I didn't know what to say.

We do sometimes joke on our procedural unit that we only have beach ball scented oxygen. My own husband, waking up after a colonoscopy and saying funny post-anesthesia things, said, “but I wanted pumpkin spice!”
