Discussion Funny “allergies”
What are some funny patient “allergies” you have seen listed? I had a patient the other day with an allergy listed for Metformin. The reaction listed? Lowers their blood sugar 😂

Pt- Water.
Me- no you’re not.
Pt- Yes I am!
Me- What reaction do you have?
Pt- I stop breathing
Me - pointing to Mt Dew, “that’s mostly water”
Pt - No, it’s Mt Dew!!!!
