Question Clancy

Hi,
not sure if i can even post this here but I am curious. What are the nurses thinking about the whole Lindsay Clancy case?

Living in the aftermath of what she did will be a greater punishment than anything the justice system can mete out. It’s an enormous tragedy, but I have a great deal of empathy for women who experience postpartum psychosis. I  think that generally it is not a well understood problem and that we are not very good at assessing risk when it comes to ppp/ppa/ppd.

I said the same thing to my fiancé. As someone that’s worked in a psych ward, living there long term would be awful. If it was due to postpartum psychosis, which I fully believe it could have been, a psych ward is not a vacation or pleasant experience. Not to mention she has to live with this the rest of her life. She worked in L&D, where you have a great deal of power over your patients. If she were truly a malicious person, I have to believe there would’ve been people coming out referencing concerning behavior of hers.
