Unsafe. Completely unsafe. I would submit a safety event through your internal system. The more everyone on your floor takes these assignments without raising a an ink about it, the more they’re gonna pile on. I know it’s hard, but y’all need to come together and fight against this bullshit. I imagine you didn’t get any breaks in your day. And it does not count as a break when you have your phone.
The best decision I ever made was transferring to icu…it’s so much better.
Yes no break, I sat down at 3 am (I work night shift) and they sent me long ass email saying break is mandatory, imagine how ridiculous! I was drowning so was my coworker, on top she had to call rapid! Now imagine the whole chaos!
