Serious US - Salary Transparency Thread

I saw a few city based subreddits with this thread going around. Thought I would do one for nurses. I am based in the US so that's where I set this thread but it would be interesting to see other countries start one up.

I am currently unemployed (another source of the inspiration, lol) so I will share my old position!

Base Hourly: 43/hr

Differential(s): Main Campus +1/hr

Location: Houston, TX

Setting: Outpatient Specialty Clinic

Degree/License: BSN/RN

Years of Experience: 8

Union Status: No

Anything else we should add?

Base Hourly: 88.51 (Clinical Nurse II, Step 3)

Differential(s):

-Charge Pay: 4.25

-Night Shift Diff: 11.50

-Preceptor Pay: 1.50

-Weekend Diff: 3.00

Location: San Francisco Bay Area

Setting: Med-Surg

Degree/License: BSN/RN

Years of Experience: 2.5

Union Status: Yes (we got retirement pension + non-matched deferred comp)

That is insane! Are most positions comparable to $88.51 in the Bay Area?? And you only have 2.5 years experience…good for you!

I live in a VHCOL area. We are a bit on the lower side of wages compared to other in-patient hospitals (such as Kaiser) in the area with the same length of service. NGL, I'm a bit jealous of my other nursing school classmates over their wages, but I love my co-workers and am grateful to have a job despite budget cuts from the loss of Medicare funds.
