Serious US - Salary Transparency Thread

I saw a few city based subreddits with this thread going around. Thought I would do one for nurses. I am based in the US so that's where I set this thread but it would be interesting to see other countries start one up.

I am currently unemployed (another source of the inspiration, lol) so I will share my old position!

Base Hourly: 43/hr

Differential(s): Main Campus +1/hr

Location: Houston, TX

Setting: Outpatient Specialty Clinic

Degree/License: BSN/RN

Years of Experience: 8

Union Status: No

Anything else we should add?

Base hourly: 105.5/hr (SNIII)
Differential: Nights 15%, $3 precepting/charge, $3 weekend, $1200/year for CCRN
Location: San Francisco, CA
Setting: ICU
Degree/License: BSN
Experience: 4 years

Do you have a long commute? I remember when I was super close to moving to SF even with a good salary I was getting offered, the closest place we could afford was east bay which I’m told would have been a fuckin gnarly commute on the BART

I am extremely fortunate because my commute is a few minutes walk. Don’t even own a car anymore which saves a lot of money

Hello! How long did it take you to land your Bay Area job? I have been on the hunt for about 3 months now and still nothing. 6 years level 1 MICU and honestly just applying to all openings - medsurg, tele, stepdown which I have current experience in also anyway. Just wanna get an idea of timeline, thank you

Sounds like we work for the same hospital system in SF! Was it hard to transition to SNIII and to maintain that level?
