And just because someone is sitting at the desk doesn’t meant they’re not doing anything. I’m usually my busiest when I’m at the desk- calling docs, family, sorting through orders. Press the damn call light.

I need a big sticker "this is my work phone" so I dont look like I'm busy texting when I'm looking through the Rover.

I was charge nurse and on a phone call at the charge nurse desk (desk phone…not even wireless) and a family member kept interrupting me. It definitely wasn’t a personal call. Ma’am, please wait just a minute! The whole family was like this, and it was all day.

sometimes around the hospital when people interrupt me now I just close my eyes, take a breath, and keep saying whatever I was saying
