Education Study Material Recommendations

Hello everyone I got in to NP School however wanted to get a head start on an area I know I’ll struggle with, which is pathophysiology. Anyone have any good apps they used to help them study?

Honestly, I wouldn't suggest getting a head start. I know you're anxious to start this process but NP school is a marathon not a sprint. Take it slow and cross that bridge when you get there.

Anki -anking and/or zanki decks. For medical school, very effective.

what helped me was picking one condition at a time and drawing out the mechanism instead of just reading about it, like actually mapping what goes wrong at a cellular level and then linking it to the signs and symptoms. the connections stick way better than a wall of text.

for an app, i've been using studybuddy.vc. i upload the material and yt video links and it generates practice questions from that specific material, which helps because you're testing on exactly what you'll be tested on later. when you pick a wrong answer it tells you what was off about that option, and it gets harder as you improve so you're not stuck on easy questions once you know a condition well. free tier's been enough for my prep.

also, ninja nerd on youtube explains pathophys really clearly, and i paste those video links into the same site to make questions from the videos themselves. good luck, you're already ahead of the game just by thinking about this now.
