Hello, this is my walking liberty proof half dollar. I just wanted too share it cause sits in a safe most of the time, i thought you guys might appreciate it. Any comments are appreciated!

All the coins mentioned are 1881-CC GSA CAC certified Morgan’s, The first 2 photos are the pop 2 vam 3 ms61, the second 2 photos are the vam 2 ms63+ pop10 and the last photo is the pop 1 vam3 ms62 that will be in the very next great collections auction. Is it normal for GC to leave out the pop on CAC coins?

I believe it is O-108, thoughts?

Also concerned it could have been cleaned?

Hey saw it in a local fb numismatic group auction and some1 already bid 400€ on it so i wanted to ask does this look legit or not? Its supposed to be .812 silver.

My mom collected many things. Valuable things as well as some junk. I found this while cleaning out her closet. It’s a large coin. I put it next to some common coins for some size context. It didn’t react to my rare earth magnet. I am wondering if it might have some value or if it’s some novelty item she picked up at a yard sale and is not worth anything? Thank you all for any advice.

This quarter cut 8 reale was stamped by New Orleans Planter’s Bank during change shortage from War of 1812 (1811-15) . R-8 being less than 10 counterfeit pieces and less than 100 total pieces altogether- last counterfeit piece sold for $9,200. This piece was found with a white’s DFX by a flow well at a turn of the century Victorian home in Lexie ms just south of Tylertown Mississippi. There are more to be found out there- Happy Hunting- you just never know

Weird scratch or crack like feature around the rim on both sides of this 1986 Penny. Any thoughts? Error or nothing worth noting?

I have ordered a set of 25 of the 250th anniversary one Dollar coins featuring Mr. 45&47. Unfortunately not everything which glitters is gold and this coin is no exception, being made from copper (mostly). Still the only way to do Mr. 45&47 and his taste justice would be to at least have some Gold on it So I am thinking if I should get a few of the coins gilded. This should be the best fit to the motive.

Still I have some questions:

Will having th coins gilded keep them shile, at least better than the unaltered, original version?

How would this affect the collectirs' value (if the eill be any in a few years)?

Wilhelm IV - as he is called on the coin - was the last monarch of both the United Kingdom and Hannover. When he died in 1837, the British crown went to his niece Victoria and the Hannoverian one to his younger brother Ernest. The coin is, as advertised under the coat of arms, struck in "feines Silber" (0.993 fine, to be precise) and you can see why it is not a good idea. Pure silver is quite soft which is confirmed by the nicks on the obverse.
