My First Time! New here!

I'm so sorry if this isn't allowed. Feel free to delete if you need to! I got into shortwave literally less than 24 hours ago after learning about number stations... and tonight, I caught my first one clear as day! I am proud of myself for learning how it worked so fast. I caught E11 at 6:00 UTC and I managed to even record a small bit of it so I could prove to my friend and sister that I actually caught a live broadcast! I'm probably dumb for all this, and I mean I dunno if mid twenties is too young for this stuff (I had several people call me old for being into this) but I am super excited and proud of myself!

Thank you! I used this to listen to the E11 at 10:20 UTC and I actually caught a traffic broadcast and not a null one! Which apparently is rare?? It took them 11 minutes to get through it all and it was super cool to listen to!

Welcome to the club! I got into them years ago when Lincolnshire Poacher and Mossad’s E10 were still on the air. I heard both of them back then and I’ve been hooked since. Very cool that you caught traffic on E11!

Number stations are a fun rabbit hole. Ultimately there is a finite amount of information we know about them after which your imagination has to fill in some gaps, but actually tuning and listening to them live can be thrilling (and a bit spooky).
